Default LT80 Hard Starting

I'm still having problems starting the LT80 after getting it wet. I've cleaned the carb and air filter and replaced the oring on the intake spacer, but it still takes a while to crank over. By the time it's ready to start, the fully charged battery is dead. The only way I've been able to get it running is using another battery with jumper cables. Once it's running it runs perfect. I've taken the carb off and put it back on four times now, making sure I have the oring in the right place. (P.I.T.A.) Could there still be more dirt in the carb that I missed? It's starting to remind me of that old Kasea Mity Mite piece of crap I had. Any ideas?
