Default Anyone plow snow with a chinese quad???

My buddy is looking to get a inexpensive quad to do some snow plowing.. He wanted to see if anyone thought any of the chinese quads were up to the task?

I've seen some plow kits at places like Tractor Supply Co. that I've thought of putting on my atv but they seem kind of expensive. I do know my 250cc Kazuma gets really good traction in the snow and it has enough power to move me around at 5' 11" and 250lbs. It also pulled my brother on a sled so it pulls another 200lbs easily. I also pushed him on his 110 out of a snow bank this past weekend so I know it will push too.

Depends on where he lives. I used to use a 2wd Suzuki 230 to plow snow, and it worked fine. The area I live in gets an average of 9 to 10 feet of snow per year. Faster than a snowblower, but you really have to push the piles way back because they can't be moved once they thaw and refreeze(at least with the quad.) 4x4 is very much preferred. Plowing can be hard on a quads tranny, frame, and just about anything else. I would question the longevity of many of the off brand quads for such tasks, and the smaller engines should be ruled out from the start. Personally, I would look for an older gear driven 4x and set aside some maintenance money.
