I have a baja 90 and a Ducar 110cc with the honda knock off engines. They baja 90 starts great in the cold. Last week it was like -27c several nights. Then when it warmed up to -12c we tried it and it started right up!! I let it warm up a bit and the boy took it for a rip. The ducar didn't turn over as still had 20w-50 in it. But it normally starts up fine, I just have to put some lighter oil in it. These quads both have carbs the have made in Japan stamped on them along with manual chokes.

FredSanford I would try the link shown by solareclipse2 we also posted this link in the forums for Kazuma 250 owners. I have also seen the intake tubes straight from the factory with cracks in them. Might want to make sure the rubber dont have any. This will make it very hard to start. But again the link has help a lot of people with there starting problems. Hope all woks out for ya!

no experience with chinese quads ,but my neighbor(good friend) works for Harely and collects and restores old 60s_70s- honda trail bikes, Recently he got a few Chinese replica trailcb 70s with similar probs ,dont run good in the cold, just gotta play with them! His real Hondas work fine, the replicas just need more tlc to run good
