kazuma 110 falcon...assembly fun!
#1
the box arrived last week and i've just spent a few hours (trying) to put the machine together. of course, i didn't see all the screws/nuts/bolts/washers until AFTER i made a trip to the hardware store (btw, all of mine were in the battery compartment under the seat - CHECK THERE FIRST).
some (no doubt asked and answered) questions:
1. there appear to be fuel levers on each side, little silver things. any idea what each does?
2. kids will be riding in the winter as i ice fish. Will 10-30 oil be okay?
3. where the h*ll is the 'governor' that lets me control speed?
4. i know i need to oil the air filter...but where might it be?
5. my honda recon is very cold-blooded. does this machine have choke?
thanks for all the help and think of me as i'm swapping out ALL of the store-bought (non-galvanized/stainless) screws, nuts, bolts......!!!!!
a final thought. wheel spacers certainly appear to be my next purchase. the falcon seems awfully high and narrow.

Ok for the levers one is your fuel shut off and the other is the choke. The choke is on the carb adn the fuel shutoff is on the left side.
10w 30 is fine. They warm up pretty quick and the choke works good just in an odd place.
There is no governor. There is a screw on the throttle that when turned in restricts how far they can push the throttle which in turn they cant go as fast but the down side to this is you lose alot of power to take off. You need power in the snow.
You can follow the intake tube on the carb to find out where the airbox is. One of mine is under the front hood and the other is under the seat.
Wheel spacers are a must on these and I would highly recommend getting a clamp on K&N filter and ditching the airbox. The stock airbox lets alot of dirt by even if the air filter is oiled. Trust me on this get a clamp on filter. I can tell you where to get one.
You can get spacers from Raceway or I may have a set laying around. Let me know.

Where can you get the clamp-on air filter? And how do wheel spacers go on?
My 110 also has what appears to be two fuel shutoffs. One is at the fuel tank and the other just above the carb. Not the choke, the choke is a black plastic lever. These are silver shut off valves.

HOOL,
Thanks I stand corrected. There is 2 fuel cut off valves. Why they do this I dont know and yes the black lever is the choke.
The wheel spacers go between the front wheels and the hubs which will give it a wider track in the front. This will make the atv much more stable and the suspension will actually work in the front.
You can go to the K&N web site and look under unifilters. You can find a filter that will have a clamp opening of 1.5" and about 3-4 " long. I am going with those measurements because thats what mine are. The carb opening is 1.5" but you need to make sure the length will fit . This will help in the power department also. You can order direct from K&N

After the install of the k&n filter, should you rejet? It seems a lot of these 110s don't run very well in the cold? Where would you get new jets?(if you even can) Any how thinking of getting a 110mk2 for my daughter, a vx200 for me (dad) but there has been alot of negative feed back on these China made atvs.

a (final) update - got the machine together and started 12/23...it purred like a kitten in my office's garage. santa made the delivery LATE x-mas eve and the shreiks of pleasure at 0445 made it all worth it!!!!
bottom line for me is that i am very pleased with the machine...if only i could get the horn to work. and to all of those considering buying one out of the box - trust me here, if i can do it, YOU can do it!!!! i'm not mechanically inclined in the least, and after one false start, it really wasn't too bad.
thanks to all members who have posted/responded, as all credit for a job well-done is yours! without your guidance, i would have been totally lost...
merry christmas and happy holidays.
