Okay cool I looked at the pics. Now I understand why you call it a spacer.
When Kymco originally released these that piece was actually part of the
boss drive. So it looks like AC made it 2 piece so you can just remove and not replace.
No problem. That is what I used to do as a stage 2 so to speak.

There is also supposed to be a spacer (washer like) in the clutch. If AC dealers dont know about it
then I dont know if its there or not. It should be though. That part you took out really has no effect until the rev limiter
is out. :-)

Also I am waiting for pics of the CDI from a 50 and 90 so I can correctly tell you guys
how to clip the rev limiter.

I figured out how to get the pics of the CDI on here. Let me know if any other views would be more helpful.

Okay, it appears to be the same CDI as my sons 90 according to that part number.
On his it was the light green wire coming out of the 4 wire connector.
PLEASE, do yourself a favor. Cut that wire leaving yourself plenty of space on both sides
of the cut to put it back together.

Then fire it up and your rev limit should be gone.

2500HD, I received these instructions from a dealer along with instructions to remove the carb limiter. From what I have read, removing the carb limiter makes a bigger difference than the clutch limiter. But removing them both will really speed things up. Unfortunately, the 06 models have changed and do not have the carb limiter (I checked mine). I have not checked mine but from what I have read, I am still unsure if they have the clutch limiter. If you do not have the instructions to remove the carb limiter let me know and I can get them to you, they were faxed to me so the pics are bad, but it is really easy to remove.

The carb spacer was for the 2-stroke models and from what i here a few of the 05 4-strokers. Ours is a 05 4-stroker and does not have the carb spacer. Removing the clutch spacer allows the belt to run higher on the pulley thus giving you the top end you don't have with the spacer in place. THose pics came from my book and I do have the info on removing the carb spacer but not needed thanks. I will look at the CDI limiter maybe tonight and see. Honestly I haven't noticed it limiting electronically so i never knew there was a rev limiter.

Hate to ask a really dumb question but what is the D in CDI. I suspect C and I are "computerized" and "ignition"?

Excuse my ignorance, but where exactly is the CDI located? I was looking for mine under the front chasis and obviously found something different. Yours is somewhere very clean, I am guessing under the seat?

No problem its under the seat.

CDI = Capacitor Discharge Ignition
Meaning there is no distributor and no points
