But explain to me how it makes all the difference in the world to buy the same exact product with the same exact warranty period from two different places because of the price difference. If you had a choice to get two for the price of one with the same exact warranty, which one would you choose. Not too many people are going to be inclined to spend twice the amount of money only to get "great" support. So, what happens when the warranty period runs out, where is the support going to come from then? At that point, it is going to be the same type of support you can get from the forum. Bottom line is that you are only going to have the parts under warranty for so long. Even after the warranty period is over, even the best distributor in the world won't honor anything except maybe provide parts for you at your cost.

My main question was not to start an argument, but was to ask if anyone has ever had any problems or know any information on the Roketa 150 Sport and the Roketa 250 Sport.

Thanks!
Warranties dont mean a thing. What matters is WHO provides the support. You may not get support
at all from some of the fly by nights. The way I understand from following the forums is that Raceway
is legit. One chinese dealer to the next does not have to honor any warranty but may tell you
to take it to the dealer you got it from. Chinese manufactures do not have a nationwide dealer network
like yamaha, honda, arctic cat, polaris, or even Kymco now.

If they supported a nationwide dealer network then yeah sure warranty could be taken care of anywhere.
This is just not the case. Their are warranty laws etc etc etc

So, are these ATVs really that bad of a product and are the warranties and support really an issue?

Not all the Chinese atv's are junk and the dealer makes all the difference in the world. If something does happen to break yes you do have to do the work your self so I would not recommend one of these to the average Joe but if you can turn a wrench and have basic mechanical skills they are great quads for the money. The reliability of the quad makes a HUGE difference with the person puting them together. If you take your time and go over the whole atv you will have better luck then someone that just puts the wheels on, gas and goes. It will fall apart if you gas and go.

Now I didnt say they were junk. I said you will not be able to just walk it into any dealership for repair.
It helps alot if you have a dealer right near you that will service it for you. Or at the very least sell
you parts and you wrench on it.

Don't expect mucg from any off-road warranty. I paid $8,000..00 for my quad
and it had a 30 day warranty. I know plenty of big 4 owners that didnt get warranty
service for certain issues too. It all depends on WHAT happens to it and what condition its
in when it arrives at the dealership

Perfect example, a customer once brought me a quad where a bolt fell off the rear end.
Sorry not covered under warranty. The customer is responsible for checking ALL nuts n bolts.
If you dont check it and lose a bolt and cause damage that is your responsibility.

Just an example but just remember most broken things on quads and motorcycles just break from use.
Things break.

There is a dealer that services these things right here in San Antonio. I am supposed to go over there this afternoon to see just how big or small these ATVs really are. I may not buy the ATV from them, but they can do the servicing anyway. I do know quite a bit about engines, but never worked on one of these. I couldn't imagine it be anything different than an oversized lawnmower engine.

I just left a Kawasaki dealership and was looking at what they have. They have nice ATVs but are way more expensive than the Kazumas and Roketas. So, can anyone tell me how the Kazumas and Roketas will compare to Name Brand ATVs? Name Brand ATVs still only carry a 6 month warranty, but do they really last that much longer than the Chinese made ATVs? I was told by a dealer today that the Kazumas had Honda Engines in them and the Roketas have Yamaha engines in them. Has anyone heard any different? Also, has anyone ever heard of the roketa ATV? You can find them on www.roketa.com. Go check it out and give me some feedback please before I go and spend all my money on these Chinese ATVs.

Thanks for your help!!

There is going to be a fundamental change on how some of the Chinese brands go to market. As for the SunL, I spoke to them out here when I picked up my two SLA70's(Oct '05) as to what it would take to buy them direct. Last year, all you needed was a resellers license! Want to know the cost?? You have to take 6 at a time but they are $289.00 each. This year, that changes as their "dealer" network is giving them a bad name. If you want to be a dealer for them, you have to show pic's of your shop, be a certified mechanic on their quads, carry parts, just like a "real" dealer would. This will eliminate a lot of the Ebay dealers. Being that I have been dealing with jetski/atv motors for over 20 years, I wasn't concerned about service. For those who are not too savy with a wrench, I highly suggest you find a good shop.

wow, that price seemed great! I paid 680 for our 90cc and that was with to your door shipping. We bought ours from wicked rocket before we had ever heard of raceway. I must say though that we had absolutely no problems dealing with wicked rocket and we love the bike. I also asume that even though we didn't by the quad from raceway, there is no reason why we couldn't purchase parts from raceway if we are doing the work ourselves. After all, there's not much to these little bikes anyways. you can check out our pics once they are approved.

Just because you didn't buy it from them doesn't mean you can't service it there! I saved about $150 per quad not having them shipped. SunL has multilple warehouses and they are huge! The one here in Los Angeles must be 150k square feet. They have some nice looking mx bikes as well. Keep in mind about the stigma of being "Chinese crap", where do you think your computer you are hacking away at is made?? How about the clothes on your back, the TV you are watching?? Just because it says Dell or Levi's or Philips doesn't mean it isn't made there! I wouldn't doubt that some of the "brand name" manufacturers ATV's have parts made there. While these quads certainly aren't race ready, they are more than enough for a kid to have plenty of fun on.
