Default Modified stock exhaust

Has anyone ever tried to modify their stock exhast? I found a picture of a modified stock pipe and how the owner is happy with the performance. I thought this would be a good topic. I presently have the FMF pipe and silencer on my LT and from reading the post seems to be the worst pipe to purchase. I posted the picture of the pipe in my profile so others can look at it.
If you have other pictures of pipes post them with a small feed back on your opinion of the performance.

For now here is the ebay web address:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/suzuk...02738472QQrdZ1

Picture of the exhaust is in my profile/ mypage.

LOL!! Tha's a piece-o-work. I never thought of selling my mistakes on ebay.
Zukisu should contact me for overall LT advise before he/she wastes even more $$.
I can't believe so much money has been wasted on pipes and carbs.

A-Man brother I have finished my spending spree. You know when you see something on line you want to share, well that exhaust needed to be shared. Like Larry the cable guy would say "What in the world?"

"Get er done!"

Hey ZukiSu, nice pics on your profile, your kid has the 'stuff'. I saw on another thread that you had a frustrating top end bogging out problem, did you ever get that fixed? You also weren't happy with your top speed, have you ever asked 'LT80' about advancing the timing? What the heck, hey 'LT80', if ZukiSu's LT or even a stock LT had the timing advanced 1/32" or 1/16", what would that do for and against performance?

Welcome to the forums WFO.
On a stock motor, it may not help at all but it could be expieremented with.
On a modded motor it seems to be a must do.
Your right, this could be something for Zukisu to try.
Good thinking!

Thanks for the welcome 'LT80'

I have another question...My 65 lb son's 03' lt80 just had a stuck set of rings w/ 25psi compression, this forced me to tear down the top end. Lots of carbon in da rings and on the piston crown. Piston and bore were both out of specs for STD, so I'm gonna bore it 1 over STD with all Suzuki OEM parts. I'm not going to do any porting. When my local shop bores and hones the cylinder, I heard that I should make sure they slightly chamfer all ports to the cylinder in order to prevent damage to the rings and get the most life out them. Look forward to your advice.

Oh...I'm also thinking to deck the top of the cylinder by .020" to bring up the compression from the over bore and get about 150 psi for more power through the existing powerband. Do you think .020" will be enough???

I like the existing powerband and limit on top speed that the stock LT has, I just want him to have a taste of more power within the stock design for now.

Hey from talking with midwestmin it seems that the main jets are to small and thats whats caused the bogging. I am waiting on the jet kit and I should be able to post the proper jet size.
Can you give me more info on advancing the timing?

WFO:: Your doing it correct. All Zuki parts (.05 piston size).
If I was you, I'd get the head shaved .030 and not deck the cylinder....Yes it is the same results, but that's the way I'd do it.

Zukisu: Who did your motor work?
