kazuma falcon 90 questions
My almost 5 year old son has one, will be 6 at the end of March. Here is a link to my post about them Kazuma 90
The biggest concern I have about them which they do not currently have a fix for is the distance between the front and rear tires. My son wears a size 1 shoe, and a size 2 Fox boot. Even after I have bent the footguards as far as they will go, he CANNOT use the brakes at all unless he takes his foot OUT of the basket and slides it back in at an angle, toe facing towards the motor to push the pedal. There simply is not enough room to use them. They also are very high above the footpeg, so his foot cannot be touching the footpeg when he wants to brake. The brake pedal itself looks exactly like a street cruiser style, so if you were leaning way back cruising down the highway and you had the room, it would work just fine.
I purchased mine from Raceway after reading all the reviews about them. Unfortunately, John does not have a solution to this. He has even went out to one of these machines to try to come up with something. The only thing that could be done would be to remove the floorboards/nerfbars. I dont feel very safe doing this, since my son is very new on these machines. I really need to take these baskets off and put some real nerf bars on there, there are currently none offered though. Also, the brake pedal will HAVE to be modified to be considered safe for kids. I think I am going to fab an entire new one and use a off-road style pedal as well. If your son is planning on using his tennis shoes to ride in, he shouldnt have any problem other than the height of the pedal.
