I have a 2005 Predator 50. I bought the Speedwerx CDI box and KN Filter Kit. After installing them I lost a lot of bottom end power. I notice a difference once it starts to wind out but it definately lost bottom end, BAD. It runs better with the choke on until the RPM's start climbing.

Any ideas or help would be appreciated.

Can't offer help on the cdi other then the timing curve may be different at low rpm.

I would assume the KN filter will breath better then the stock box filter (won't have a choking effect) meaning you need to richen air bleed screw and adjust jet needle up, clip down to allow more fuel. If it runs better with choke it needs more fuel. Watch your main jetting also, check plugs.

Jetting???? I'm not a big fan of speedwerks/hotseats recommendations on anything mini related. They did recommend and sell you different mainjets and a recommendation of turning in the air screw 3/4 turn didnt they. Need to go way up on the mainjet sounds like.

 

I installed the jet that came with the KN filter kit. It was stamped "90" for the size. I tried my local polaris deal and he said that was the biggest they made for the 50cc. Is there somewhere that carries larger sizes?

Also, do you know where I can get different rear sprockets for the Predator 50?
