LT 50 HELP!!!!!!!
Ok, For some reason or another I cant quite get this bike to run like it should. The bike stars with out a problem. While running it appears to bog down when given gas. At low rpms it will run fine. When opening the throttle, it just wont do anything. It will chug a long and nothing more.
I have milled the head .45. I have drilled a few holes in the airbox and rejetted the bike. I currently have a 68 jet in the carb, starting with the stock and slowly moving up. I have run everything in the bike from pump to race gas. look at the plug and it is black. No matter what changes I have made this doesnt seem to change. I am runnig 32:1 of maxima synthetic premix. The plugs I have tried everything from a 10 on down to a 4, same results. I will say it will run strong for a minute or two thing back to the normal. The plug of choice has been a 9. Obviously, its rich! I have even swapped out the ignition from another perfectly running 50 and no change.
'
I did take the baffle out of the silencer and have chosen to run the bike with it out. I dont know if this has anythng to do with my problem.
I have cleaned the carb and it is spotless. The fuel has been changed numerous times. No help!!
Anything you have to offer will help. I just cant seem to figure this out. Frustrated dad and daughter

LT 50 HELP!!!!!!!
mine also did the dame thing and i looked at the plug and it looked rich, but after almost giving up i tried to drain the float bowl when i held the throttle open and nothing came out. What i had to do is open the hole up on the fuel inlet barb on the carb, the hole was so small on the quad that was having the problem and it was much bigger on the other one i have. hope this helps
