Default Redcat DPX-200 First Start Problem -- Please Help!

I just purchased a Redcat DPX-200 and finished the assembly. However, when I try to start it, the engine cranks but will not go on and start. The manual says to:
1) Turn the fuel switch on (which I did, under the seat)
2) Turn the engine switch to run (I can't find this??)
3) Turn the ignition switch on and get a green light (which I did).

Can anyone tell me where the engine switch is that says "run." ?? If there is more to it than this, please give me your thoughts.

Thanks.

Redcatdpx200,

You may have to apply the front or rear brake before you hit the starter button. The quad could have this safety feature built into it.

Good Luck.

Thanks for the reply. I tried holding both the front and rear brakes and still can't get it to start. Any other suggestions?

I found that the choke is connected to a lever on the handlebars labeled "hi and low." I have tried choking it several times and left it choked for 20 seconds or so with no luck.

Make sure fuel is getting to the carb, check your fuel lines make sure they are not clogged up with the little black flakes from the fuel tank. Check your in-line fuel filter for the flakes also. Check for spark. Look for a second fuel shut off valve. Also this may seem most obvious but make sure the run and off switch is in the run position(I did this once almost killed my battery). the engine switch they're talking about is handle bar switch, it's red and should be about 1/2 wide and 3/4 inch long. should be in the down position. if it's in the off position it will still turn the engine over but won't start.

Thanks for everyone's help. I found the problem. The fuel line coming from the fuel on/off switch was pinched. I rerouted the line and it started up on the first try after that. For anyone else who has the Redcat 200-DPX, I would reroute the fuel line I mentioned. If it doesn't give you problems initially, I think that overtime it will.

Now my only problem is finding the oil drainage bolt for the crankcase. The manual does not refer to this bolt. I found the dipstick and the siteglass, but can't find the oil drainage bolt to change the motor oil.

Thanks.

the siteglass is for checking the oil in the transmission, that also needs to be change at this time their's a drain plug on the bottom of it and remove the fitting for the vent hose to add fluid to the top of the siteglass. use 80-90 gear lube.
