Hammerhead Twister motor upgrade
#1
I bought a used 2003 LM150IIR for my boy. I've read most of the posts on Hammerheads on this site but can't get a clear answer on where I can get a bigger motor or oversized piston and cylinder for this thing. The cylinder is scored and the piston skirt is trashed on what I have. I don't want to spend $300 on a rebuild kit if I can get a bigger motor for around a grand. Any ideas? I need this quick. We use it for paintball and the season is about here.

I'm haveing trouble logging in at the buggy site. I've finally read all 35 pages of the other twister post. I found some useful info. I've been talking to Ray at Reliable Go-Carts, they originally sold the cart. He can order me another motor for $855, but can't say if it will be a 10.5 or 12.5 hp. He said I'll just get what they ship. They don't carry any oversized pistons and the pistons they do sell are on backorder. The one thing I've gleaned from the other post is that these Chinese companys are in the business of selling carts, not maintaining the carts they've sold. I'm going to try to find the honda motor that they copied. If anyone comes up with a place to get a cylinder upgrade let me know.
Thanks
