Arighty then. I took the crate off the back of the truck today at about 3 PM (within the specified 7-10 days, and Im in California). This quad was ordered form Raceway ATV, and like many here would agree, I have had a great experience so far.
Just got done with assembly about an hour ago, and so far Im satisfied (keeping in mind, I only paid $779 for it delivered). Everything went together great, I didnt encounter many of the problems I have read about on this forum. I torqued all nuts and bolts I could get a wrench on, but surprisingly, only a few were loose enough to validate my torqueing. The brakes seem to be in adjustment, but the chain is alittle tight-- Im gonna leave it alone and let my daughter ride it some before I adjust anything, Im sure its gonna stretch. Nothing I can find was damaged during shipping, and this is a bit of a shock because the box and steel crate had some damage--- but the quad looks a-ok. All the welds look good, nothing I could find was questionable. I changed the oil, put in some Exxon 20-50 for break in (which I havent done yet, still need an NGK plug and some gas.) The owners manual is rather confusing on the oil drain plug location, it shows a picture with a little arrow pointing to what is supposedly the drain---- it isnt. A spring popped out when I removed that one, and wasnt any fun getting back in there! The drain is the one WITHOUT the angled plug, be warned.
The only things so far that are slightly dissappointing are the plastics (the left rear fender sticks up at a MUCH higher angle than the right, but its nothing we cant live with), the headlights dont work (with the key switch in the 2nd click position as the manual shows, I get nuthin when I hit the light switch), the front "pushbar" thingy needed some hogging with the drill to get the screws in, and the right rear tire is noticeably fatter and lower profile than the left, although both tires indicate the same size on the sidewall.
Fit-and-finish is overall nice, and the little quad looks pretty damn cool. If it runs as good as it looks, its well worth every penny of the $779 I paid for it. Tomorrow evening Ill install the new plug and get er' started up, maybe even let my wife take it for a quick test-ride before I park it in the corner of the garage and wait for my daughters birthday on April 15th. Ill let you all know how the start-up goes.
If the Jetmoto quads are supposedly much nicer than this Kazuma stuff, I cant imagine a better value for the money.

Just thought I'd through this out there - on our SunL 70cc the headlight does not come on unless the motor is running. I'm sure this is to save battery. Maybe yours is the same way? Also, for the sake of argument...on our quad, the tail light is only own when the light switch is in the second position, the first position is headlight only and not tail light (again, only with the motor running.) Hope that helps...if not call Raceway, the are very helpful.

yup, headlights will only come on with bike running.

Thata kinda what I assumed, but I havent had it running yet. The instructions dont tell you that. In fact, after reading through the entire "owners manual", Ive decided its probably better used as BBQ starter. Its a book on safety concerns with very little "how to" on the quad itself.Originally posted by: swapmeetlouie

Ain't that the truth. But the quad itself...at least my 70cc is amazing for the price. I'll let the owners manual slide.Originally posted by: ErikTheRed

The only useful information in any of the chinese quad crates that I have found is the how to fill the battery instructions. The manuals are mostly useless. Originally posted by: ErikTheRed

I got a manual with my 90 and it's okay but very limited, if you have any questions I'll look it up and answer or i can try and scan it at work and send it, just PM me. Make sure you seal all the connectors with liquid electrical tape or RTV or something, water is not your friend if you dont. Also I let the tire pressure down to 6psi in the front and rear and they makes for a lot softer ride. I treat it like my Z400 when new and make sure to let it warm up for 5 minutes each time, and dont give anymore than half throttle until full broke in (about 20 hrs) but just my opinion, I have read that this is way beyond necassary. Erik, I'm glad you can't see me right now cause I'm rolling over what you said about the oil and spring shooting out, like POW!!! Only cause this is exactly what I did and I was like "what the hell was that". Come to find out that the oil is on the other side and the instructions point to a totally different plug, somebody has some jokes in writing that thing! I used lots of loctite from the plastics to the footpegs, to anything else I could get my hands on. Plenty of RTV and after each ride until 10 hours I'm changing the oil with new 20W50 Penzoil. I'm also throwing in a Uni filter found at many bike shops for around 20 bucks and will fit right on so you can put your sticky air filter spray all over it and keep the dirt out. Welcome!!!!

I agree with socal the uni filter is a total must. The place I bought my quad has them for sale for like twenty, just give me a hollar if you want the info.
Ok, HOLLA!!! I want the info. What filter is it (the part or model number so when I go to get it I know what to ask for), how much is it, and where should I be able to get it?
And an unrelated question, who the hell is putting these damn links on certain words we use in our posts? IRRITATING!! If it want a word linked, ILL LINK IT!! Leave my post alone, thank you very much.
