I purchased a Kazuma 110 Falcon about 1.5 years ago and just recently purchased another one. My question is why did they change the shift pattern, this is really confusing to my grandchildren when they switch atvs.

 

How did the switch the patterns?

 

On the first atv to go to the foward gears you would press down on the front of the gear shift and from neutral press down on the rear of the shifter to get reverse.
The new atv is the reverse of this.

 

Thats funny because my sons falcon was down on the back and went from 1st to 3rd and down on the front for reverse. His Yamoto is the same way. Not sure if I have even seen one that shifts the way yours does.

 

I have a toa toa that shift difference then my Kazuma? I was going to ask the same question. I just change out the engine on my Kazuma and I believe the shifting pattern reversed itself. Both have 5 position as following r n 1 2 3 on one and 3 2 1 n r or the other one.

 

It is a bad design.
