Giovanni 50cc clutch Help Needed
Hi There
I have a 50 cc Giovanni ATV for the kids. It is only 3 days old.Seems to run fine but the unit will not move in thick grass on level ground even with a 7 yr old on it. If you give it a push it will slowly start to go and then goes good once up to speed. Seems like a clutch problem to me. Is there any adjustments for the centrifugal clutch on this unit. There is no set screw on the right side of the motor as on a Honda.
I have put in Motorcycle 10w40 non-detergent oil.
Any solutions??
Thanks

Giovanni 50cc clutch Help Needed
Hi, I had the neighbour kid have the same problem with his, thought it was the clutch and took it all apart but it was fine! There is no adjustment on the clutch, it is not the same type of clutch honda uses, these have a clutch similar to a go cart clutch. Anyways the problem we found with his was that the valves were to tight, it ran good right off the hop, but as soon as it got warm at all, it would lose all power, I adjusted the valves for him and it runs better, and has more power than it ever did!! The valve specs are .006 for intake, and .008 for exhaust. I would be willing to bet yours are tight too. Hope this helps.
