Default Performance exhaust

Can some one tell what a performance exhuast is. What is the difference between it and a stock pipe? And where could i get one for my Marshin 150cc ATV. It has the same motor as the Redcats, Yamoto ect.

Thanks

A performace exhaust will typically enhance power at a rpm range, or ranges, being low, middle and top end. Basically a performance exhaust will open up and allow more air flow from the engine, but you also have to be able to let more air into the engine, which usually requires a different carb or sometimes just a different air box/filter housing.

As far as an exhaust for that ATV, can't help you.

In an earlier raceway forum I found out about someone whos tried the pipe on a 110 150 and
250. he said they sound really good and the power is great. The price is $250 for the
complete exhaust system.

A tuned pipe on a two stroke engine can make a huge difference in power...A performance exhaust system on a 4 stroke usually doesn't give you that much of a gain unless the stock system was really restrictive and you combine it with intake mods like sssduane talked about...Don't be fooled by thinking your making more power just because it "sounds" better.

The 150 atvs do have restrictive baffles in them. So the increase is probably more noticeable.

i dont know why they do that. On the polaris 200 phoenix, they have a baffle too. I think they
only do this restrictive stuff on smaller atvs.
