Bill,
I have several Jap quads/bikes as you know...they have never been over rev'd, but have had the sh___ ran out of them. Never do I have these issues. Please, you're so transparent. Please ignore my posting and peddle cheap ATVs. You may go in debt, but you can ride them forever and pass them down from generation to generation...or have great resale. SEADAWG gets under your skin...why do you call me SEAPUP That is funny...SEAPUP...I love that SEADAWG Rules! Also, why don't you send me some of your duct taped POS and let me put them to the test and I'll post them on my Consumer Reports for Chinese Quads! I have extra wire and duct tape just in case. Ok, I got out of chat because of people talking s@#$ and I come here and its the same thing. Forst off, I am not out of any money bc it was given to me to fix bc the owner knew nothing about them. It was messed up when I got it. I want to just put a new motor on it or replace parts with better ones, any Better suggestions?? If I had my choice I would have a Honda or a Harley, but that isnt #1 on my list... I just was trying to get some info about this and Bill has been a GREAT help..........

first we don't know if the cdi box has been changed do we? second the only way a valve can bend is it has to hit the top of the piston, it's not going to bend by itself inside s guild is it? is the engine has quit a few hours on it the valve spring weaken and the valves will float at high rpm's therefore hitting the top of the piston bending the valve, you should all know this is basic.

brownessbabe this might be something to look at, on e-bay right now their's a dealer selling new honda 70cc clones complete engines for $125 and $55 shipping charge, for less than $200 you can put a new complete engine in your quad, everything should bolt right up, i have a 70cc sunl and a 110, the 110 is only a little faster,

No we dont and its not something I would assume either. I thought it was a simple question. I am also quite aware of what does and doesnt cause valves to bend, but thanks for the info for those that dont.

Ma'am,
Bill has good information...but you pay and still get uncertainty. Get a new engine and it is a gamble...as long as you know, no big deal. Good luck. SEAPUP

This is IMO now that we know that mine also has a bent intake and that these dont come properly adjusted.Seems this could also have something to do with it.These are kids atv's and thats how kids ride!!!!So if they are made for kids and beginners they should make them tougher so this dont happen.Beginners dont know any better and as they go they want to get that rush from the rev. After all thats what they see when they watch this stuff on tv or at the tracks.
