Default eton 90 starting problems

I am getting spark to the plug, new plug, just rebuild the carb, bike wont start. It goes and goes and almost wants to start but doesn't, any help would be appreciated.
ps does any owners of eton 90r's have problems with wear on the rear brake pads when riding thru water or muddy conditions? When I say excessive I mean like a set of pads a day, he is not riding them because I am behind him when we ride and I can see his tailights coe on when he brakes, and pads are not rubbing on disc either.
Just wondering if its a general problem I just have to deal with since caliper sits so low.

Are you getting fuel, open drain plug on bottom of carb to see if you are. The brake pads are the same ones that fit a suzuki RM 80, and many others. After spending 30.00 for a set from my Eton dealer that wore out after 2 rides I found better ones on ebay and at denniskirk.com. That were half the price. I sent you a P.M and a link to ebay for theese pads. Good luck

choke is working, compression is good, it actually started a couple of times after staying on starter for a while, then could not get it to start again.

Okay if choke is working has it been left on and is flooding the engine? You have to look carefully as there is just a little white arrow pointing in the direction to turn the choke on and it can be a little confusing sometimes...Did you have it running after you rebuilt the carb?If you pull out the spark plug is it wet with gas or dry?

ran fine after rebuilding carb, petcock is pointing in the right direction, and plug is wet after trying to start a couple times. The fuel screw on the carb is turned out only one turn, the manual says 3/4 to 1 1/4 turns out.
I am getting frustraed...
When I say it ran fine after carb rebuild I mean it ran fine the whole day, the next day turned it on to warm it up, turned off by itself nd could not turn back on again.
Reason why I rebuild the carb was because it started to turn off at idle so I turned up the idle screw but it would idle fine after that then all by itself would start to idle really high, and the machine was warmed up already

Might sound silly but is the choke turned off?All the syptoms you describe could be from the choke being left on.You certainly wouldn't be the first one to have done it...
