My nearest dealer is 3+ hours away and wants $2199.
I would like to know as well..It's probably too early to tell from a durabilty standpoint but I'm curious how close they are in a drag race, top end etc...I'm thinking instead of modding out our Eton that maybe one of these would be a better next step for him?

I am so excited about the typhoon 125,

I bought one for my kid and he just isnt ready for it. He will stick with his 90cc for another couple years. I decided to putt around on the new 125 typhoon just for kicks. Let me tell you I cant remember when I had so much fun on a quad. I changed out all 4 tires to give 2 more inches of clearance and changed the cdi and now I got a rocket. My buddys kid has a redcat vx200 and I dusted it. I weigh 230 pounds and it moves like a bat out of hell.

Did I mention it was only $1499

I just picked up the 90 Typhoon from AZ cycle last week. OTD with title and reg came to $1800.00. I bought the bike for my 6yr old who outgrew the Suzuki LTA50 (performance wise). This typhoon is TIGHT! I't pulls me at about 35mph with the restrictor screw all the way out. Even managed a hole shot burnout on the quad. My only advise to anyone who buys them is to go over the bike before riding. I had to bleed the brakes and tighten the handlebars along with other minor issue like loose bolts. I also found that AC Racing is coming out with nerfbars and a front bumper for these bikes. SWEET!!!

Guys, you have to do your homework. The quad you are buying for $1499 is not a real Typhoon. They are the cheaper step-brother of the real Typhoon. If you call around you will find out that the $300 you are saving will cost you dearly down the road. Call Xtreme (who makes the REAL typhoon) and ask them for a dealer in your area. AZ only has 2 and they will tell you the differences between the fakes and the real Typhoon. Yes they look alike and yes they are made in the same factory, but almost every component on that bike is inferior. There are at many other names you will see these bikes sold under, but be sure you are getting a REAL Typhoon!

I too went to a place on Bell Rd in Phoenix, AZ and it was funny how the owner dropped the name "Typhoon". I went home and started my research and then came back. I asked why it said FYM on the fender and not Xtreme or Typhoon and suddenly he claims to have never called it a Typhoon. He also claims that he designed the quad and that everyone else has copied him. hmmmm.

If it looks like a duck, talks, like a duck well then it must be a duck.
