well we race 2 stroke it does really well on short tracks but at the national level the honda 4 strokes are really tough

I dont think it would make that much of a difference between 2 or 4 stroke. The suspensions is what makes the bike smooth and fast.. Just my 2 cents.

well i thick you are right to a degree suspensions is a big part thats why quads with dual a- arms can have a long travel system makes a big differnce but on the other hand the 2strokes can wind up faster which is also an atvantage

all according where you are gonna race and how deep your pocket is. if you are going to race nationals the cobra is the quad to have but you need deep pockets. a 70cc will cost you about $7000 and a 90cc about $11,000. the hondas do pretty good in the atva races but in a year or 2 all the mini classes will be ruled by the cobras. when the atva gave the hondas 125cc they killed the 2 stroke cvt quads. if theu would give the 2 strokes a few more cc's they would much more competative against the hondas. my son races a eton 90 with a 110cc big bore stroker kit in it. it is way faster than the 125 hondas but does not handle near as well with the single a-arms. a few companies are making bolt on dual a-arm set up for the 2 stroke cvt's which makes them handle much better. a few companies have went to dual a-arms on their 2 stroke cvt quads likw DRX. some of the better known 2 stroke mini quad companies have completely pulled out of the us market instead of building 4 strokes. dinli and kasea are 2 of them that have done this. the asco is an awesome 2 stroke cvt mini but the pogo style rear shock set up sucks. like i said its all according where you race, what your rules are and how deep your pockets are.

I agree the cobra's are taking over my son is racing both 70cc and 90cc wich also is stroked to a 110 on the short tracks he can run with them but when they get a long straight away they get him in the 70 class he dont stand much of a chance the cvt need a class all to their own even when the cobra's have their auto they still are very fast

So what you're saying is we need a manual clutch system and get rid of the CVT system. I've seen a 90 Eton with a CVT put an honest 10 HP to the ground (9.97 hp AT THE TIRE!) before it was tuned completely, thats at the tire not the motor and smokes piped blasters in 300 feet sand drags by well over 1 second. I think that Eton CVT motor would compete with a cobra. Theres also a guy doing a triple exhaust port mini cylinder like the banshees cheeta and cub cyls have and it's 90cc legal. I just dont think the 90 2 stroke minis were out long enough for more builders to get after them. That Eton 90 smoked ported, piped blasters and some good running adult 400+cc quads at the drags including 1 banshee. Nmotion ran the dyno test on that bike and it was not their motor build. That bike is in a $1000 chromemoly frame and it weighs about 125 lbs total. There isn't more than 5 really well known builders of minis. If they would have made them for 4 more years it would have kept builders after them. I'd say spend the right $ on a motor and it will be competitive for well under $7,000-$11,000.

But i will say I love the Cobras.

I know what you mean we have a alpha sport which is the same as a eton it has a stroker 110 we had to use three head gaskets to get douwn to 220 pounds of compression we are running a 28mm carb it is vary fast also most 400cc quad cant beat it in the 60ft and only runs 1.5-2 second behind in the 300ft most hardly any one will not believe it unless they see it pound per pound it has more hp than a stock big quad (I also like the cobra's) my son would like to have one but $8000 at once is hard

Riley holts 110cc predator dynoed at almost 16 hp last year with snow hogs on the back the dyno operater said it would have been more if he had go cart or flat track tires. his dad is billy holt who owns wrh racing.
