carb screw chinese atv
Hi guys,
Need a little help from the experts - I have a 50cc brand X quad. While my daughter was riding it it just quit running. I ran up and we could see gass pouring out of the bottom of the carb bowl and a screw was missing from the hole the gas was puring out of. Looks like it just vibrated and backed out. Ran perfect right up until then.
My question is...
Will any screw that fits work or is this a special screw for carb adjustments that I need to order? It's at the bottom of the carb bowl. Of course we looked all over and can't find the screw on the ground.
Anyone else have this problem? A little threadlocker will be a part of the fix I'm sure...
***UPDATE***
I found a regular screw to put back in the hole - but the quad does not start still. Now, fuel pours out the overflow tube after a few minutes of cranking.
Anybody have any idea what this screw does on these carbs? Appearantly it does something besides drain the carb...
Thanks as always....
