Honda Fourtrax 90cc

1K would be a good price, assuming that it's still in decent condition. The TRX90 is a bullet proof bike that will last forever. If you could buy one now for $1,000 I'd bet that you could sell if for the same money a few years down the road.
In 2000, I bought a '96 for $1,400 and considered it a great deal. It was in excellent condition having only been used as a pit bike and never been on a trail. But, six years ago there were not near as many mini's available. Also in 2000, I sold my '84 Suzuki LT50 for $950 - don't think I could get that for it now.

Hula,
$1000 seems reasonable you may get a better deal depending on how motivated the seller is to get ride of the quad. In our local free Photo Ad Magazine there are couple for sale 1993 for $1200 with a 110cc big bore kit in it and a couple of 2002 for $1800 each.
Go take a look at the ones your interested in, see if the sellers is willing to negotiate on the price.
Good Luck.

Sir,
Assuming it is in good shape for the age, it is a Honda. The depreciation on them are slow....I ride them over 30 years/24 year old in the woods all the time. New toys are always great, classis rock too Good luck, sound like a fair pricie, I'm sure you have some wiggle room if you need to talk them down. Also- I had a 1983 Honda ATC70 for over 10 years.

KBB.com lists the 95 TRX 90 at 1350 in this zip code and that's assuming it's in great shape. So the price sounds good to me.
I have a neighbor that bought a used 90 back about 5 years ago and it was in rough shape. The plastics were all cracked and it needed tires......just bad shape. He replaced the plastic with aftermarket pieces and installed used tires. His daughter, now age 12, drove that 90 all over the 12 acres he owns in second gear until she learned to shift and then moved up to his 250.
He sold the 90 last year for 1000 dollars and he only had 700 tied up in it.

Any TRX90 that is in decent condition is worth 1000, so don't sweat it. I paid $800 for a '96. The seller was motivated and it needed a bit of maintenance, mostly things that have only cost me my time though! One thing I noticed wasmine has a bit of play L/R in the handlebars @ neutral position. I was looking into new tie rod ends and such, but happened to check 4 different, brand new quads at dealerships and they all had the same amount of play. New and old style were all the same.
