Default 2006 Predator 90 carb help

I am still having problems with my 06 predator 90. It only runs at full choke, and on any kind of inclines it poops out. On flat ground and at full choke it runs awsome. With choke at full, close off the intake a bit and it dosent rev up before it dies, so that leads me to belive even fully choked it dosent run rich. I pulled the air box off and got the carb loose so I could get to the bottom bolts and pulled the float bowl off. I did find a tiny bit of sand in the float bowl, which is suprising since the aircleaner looks like its never been used. from what i can see there is 2 jets in this carb. 1 main jet, and a smaller one. I cleaned these out and it runs the same. Is there a jet im missing?? also i pulled the fuel filter, and it also looked perfect, but bypassed it for a quick run to see if that helped, and it didnt. Any ideas? Is there more jets other then the two accessable from the bottom of the carb?

Default 2006 Predator 90 carb help

First let me say I ain't to much of a mechanic to the point I ain't even sure if I spelled It right but my dad is a great one and my sons redcat was doing the same thing first we unhooked the fuel line and sprayed carb cleaner in toward the carb which helped a great deal then we broke the carb down cleaned out the holes in the jet with a small safty pin sprayed everthing down with carb cleaner put it back together and it is now running great. mine was doing exactly was yours is choke and all so hopefully this will help the was also a thread posted a couple of days ago by 2manytoys that tells about this pin on top if carb that has five different settings we adjusted that also so if you could looked back through the old post it was How TO Adjust the Carb On all chinese atvs good luck and sorry I ain't very mechanically inclined or I could probably help more

Default 2006 Predator 90 carb help

Hello,

Have you made any modifications to your quad? If you have, you may need to try a different size main jet.

How does it idle? If it won't idle without the choke, then it could be that the air screw on the carb needs to be adjusted.

Default 2006 Predator 90 carb help

I had my sons lt80 do something very similer....I took carb apart 3 times and cleaned main jet but not pilot jet (the smaller jet you seen) finally after taking out pilot jet and sticking it with a small strand of wire and blowing it out with air and carb cleaner ....the bike ran like brand new again....I think it is just the gas we get anymore is such low grade .
