I got a komoto 250cc this aug new on ebay it was a year 2005 model
want to say a 250r model, having carb problems worked good before this
came up, the screw at the engine on the manifold going to the carb came
off completely and burnt oring replaced. Could not get atv to idle after that, so I changed the fuel filter, took the carb apart and cleaned still would not idle. went to honda and got new cap comming. Think this will
make a difference? Komoto cap had fallen apart. Cant get no help from
anyone on finding parts on this atv, it not even on here? Guy that sold it
on ebay cant find him, anyone can tell me where I can get parts and information on this 250, my son rode maybe 5 times and had to change clutch, battery, lights, already. Before replacing missing bolt the atv would run good on the half choke mode? Thanksfor any help. Brent

buy it if its not beat, check the oil , look over it good drive it around, make sure tranny is right, engine parts shouldnt be a problem.

i say if its clean , runs good, drives good buy it.

just remember these are not jap quality. if i was down there i would buy it they seem to be better than the falcon 250.

i just checked one out on flea bay, if its clean and runs good i would take a chance. motor parts would not be a problem it looks about as solid as a china quad can be. the one i saw on there was 1200.00

keep us posted if you buy

Im looking at buying the 250cc off ebay - the $1200 one. Just to make sure of service, getting in touch with someone etc...I called the 405 270 6477 number and asked for a service tech. she said one would call me back. about 12 minutes later one did. just fyi...

krampmoto,

Here is something to try. Buy the quad have it shipped then call back for service or for parts while it's still under warranty. See how long it takes the company to get back to you after the sale. That will be the real test.

Many people have had good communication with the sellers before the sale. It's after the sale when communication seems to break down and support from some of these e-bay companies fall short. But you will never know until you try.

Good luck with your purchase.

SB.

gcaf,

I say the price is right. Buy it if you have some mechanical ability. It sounds like a solid deal. Just keep up on the maintenance, and remember, most of us on here are here to help. smb05 and hoyt have a lot of knowlege at your disposal, and I have a little. Don't pay attention to people who might come on here and degrade you for buying Chinese. As you will mostly notice, most of them have the literacy of a second grade school student.
