new fushin 110 atv axle noise, need help
#1
We purchased a fushin 110 atv for my son for xmas, he has only ridden it for about an hour at very slow speeds, i noticed when he gets in a little mud the right side wheel spins and there is a loud grinding sound from left side, (wheel does not spin) I checked the left side wheel it wobbles back and forth and makes the noise when I spin it by hand, when I spin the right side wheel by hand it spins the left side wheel, left side wheel does not spin the right side wheel, I am probably an idiot, but I sure would appreciate any help anyone could give me. one more thing we bought my daughter one very similar and it does not do this, left side will spin the right side and right side will spin the left. thanks

Welcome to the forum jaybob! I would think youve got "worn"(probubly made wrong) splines on the axle or the hub on left wheel.

I found that there is a spacer/sleeve that fits over the axel on the right side. mine was about 3/4 of an inch to long, it wouldn't let the axel splines go all the way into the wheel hub. glad i caught it before it was riden. Sure hope you didn't spin the splines out of your wheel hub.

It turns out I did strip the splines on the axle and the hub, I think it was because the wheel nut was not on tight to begin with, I should have inspected before letting my children ride it. To fix it we just welded the hub to the axle, beats having to wait a couple of weeks on the parts, seems to be holding up fine. Thanks to those who replied,
