I have a brand new Eton Viper 90R 4-stroke with reverse and a manual choke. I had the same problem, but just for the first throttle-up after it was cold, and then it was OK. I might have had the choke still on, but will check again when I am up at the cottage Friday, and let you know. (Also, it was very cold outside, maybe zero degress F.)

We took it out to Glamis the first time and it ran perfect for three days straight. The next itme we took it out to Glamis and it ran perfect the first day, but on the second day it began having the issues described above. So I am thinking that it is jetted correctly as it ran good the first time we had it out. Thanks for your input. Any other thoughts out there?

Your right the jetting should be ok if it worked for you once as long as the temps/elevation are fairly equal..It also sounds like you've covered most of the fuel related issues that could cause problems...Any chance you could get a manual choke carb to try on it to eliminate it being a fuel related problem?

have you checked the compression?
my son has the same quad and it sounds like its doing what ours does when you try to run it with the airbox off, try putting your hand on the carb restricting more air and see if it revs up

has any one figured this out?? i have a 2003 50. it started doing the same thing. I checked the airbox the plug the lines etc. Nothing// i put new fuel in it it was fine started doing this once it got cold... After i poured the new fueld in the tank started road fine for a hr. then started all over . When the throttle is at more then half it bogs.. Is there a screen in the bottom of this tank,,, Seems to be a fueld problem idles fine... just does rev up... the 4 wheller is not beaten or even riden hard... I have a eton dealer who will be the next route any suggestion
