i have a smc mini blast 50 ive been having problem whith it since i bought it. it will only start if i have a charger hooked up to it ive have bought 2 batteries already but it keep draining them so what do you guys think the problem might be ?.

Short,,,,, take a test light between the positive terminal on battery and touch the unhooked positive battery cable. The light shouldnt be on. If it is you need to track down your short.

 

Does your 50 have remote start or alarm? If it does this is what is draining the battery.

 

it does have a remote stop but i no longer have the remote how can i disable this.

 

Can you post some pics of the quad so I can see what it looks like. In most cases you can just pull a fuse or disconnect it but I would like to see the unit. This is why the battery goes dead if you do not use a battery tender while it sits.

i uploaded them to webshots there is circled box in the pictures i think this is the reciver i tried disconectiing it but then the bike wont even start so idtk what to do now.

The box that you have circled looks like the voltage regulator or cdi box not an alarm. I take it that it is a 2 stroke. Looks very similar to the Polaris pred 50, Unison Dc50, Yerf Dog 50 and many other 50cc 2 strokes. That is not one of the cheapo Chinese quads.

 

so what is it you suggest i do beacuase im all out of ideas lol.
