What motor is in these. I saw another post that had performance parts for the GY6 motors and wondering if anyone knows what is in these or where can find out.

 

Almost assuredly a gy6. Google gy6, you should find many pictures for comparison - very common engine. There's a lot of info at buggynews.com as many buggies use this engine too.

Yes it is the GY6 motor. I have a 150cc for my daughter.

 

One inexpensive thing you can purchase for some performance gain is a UNI pod filter. I bought one for my son's GY6 150 and it made a considerable difference on the low end. You may not even have to rejet although I did because I also gutted the exhaust. Both made a difference.
