Desert Cat 90 tires
#1
Hi All,
Friend has a Desert Cat 90 (very nice machine) and the issue he has is tires, I believe.
The place he rides has a hill with loose sand on it and the quad never climbs that hill.
He says not enough power with his 10 year old on it. I say, "tires are spinning with stock tires and getting no traction and he gets stuck". This is the only place on the trail for sand.
I believe the 90cc motor has plenty of power for a 65lb kid because the hill is not that steep.
So, stock tire size on rear is 19x8x8 and Mudlight makes a tire size of 22x11x8. Do you think they will help his boy and what kind of loss in power will he see in the larger rear tires?
