How exactly do you take the spacer out? I took the cover off, but the image in the owners manual did not even look like the actual parts.

It is on the front shaft that comes out of the engine. I removed the nut on the end of the front and the nut on rear to see how it all works, but I think you could just remove the front nut. The spacer is between the two plates in the front, it keeps them from coming together. Once the spacer is out the plates will come together and cause the belt to ride up and shift into the higher gear. The speed on mine doubled, now I just need to find a CDI box without a limit!!

CT racing claims they will have a CDI box soon to raise the rev limiter up, and they already offer a header for it.

Thanks this is good to hear about CT making a CDI. I know it will really help out in the future. Any idea on how many more MPH you get by removing the CVT spacer. In complete stock form my sons LTZ50 only tops out at 8MPH. I know dont laugh Its actually perfect for him right now as he is only 3 and does not need to go any faster than that. Next year may be a different story....

Removing the spacer made the top speed double I would guess. It does not add HP, it just lets the "trans" go into high gear.
