I just bought a 2003 dxl 90 2 stroke for my son. The guy i bought it from said that the carb was messed up. It starts fine, but when you give it the gas it boggs out, and sometimes it takes off fast and then dies down. I have noticed it leaks fuel out the bottom carb drain hose (i.e like the float is stuck) I have bought a new electric choke, and cleaned the carb out with carb cleaner and it still does it. One other thing...does anyone know the proper needle adjustment of this carb, or where i can obtain them? Can anyone help me?

 

Does this quad have rev limiter.I had this problem with my sons 03 predator 90 when I changed carb & perch.I had to reinstall the stock perch & reconnect rev limiter.

 

I was wondering if you made any progress on the DS90. We have a 2002 and are having the same problems. We have cleaned the carb twice, Cleaned the fuel tank, Messed with the electric choke and still cannot get it any better.
