Grease nipples on Giovanni quads
#1
I just bought my son a 150 cc and when I went to grease the A arms I noticed that the grease nipples that are installed are non-standard size(smaller than standard). Does anyone know what size these are? I was thinking that if I can't find the right coupler for my grease gun I would try and switch out the installed ones for standard size. Has anyone done this yet?

Welcome to the forums falco. You have two options for these Chinese grease fittings. First there is a needle adapter you can get for your grease gun, it is kind of like a syringe for your grease gun. Use it to push the ball in on the fitting and grease away. Second (this is what I did), you can buy standard grease fittings (the threaded kind not the pressed ones) and replace the Chinese ones. I bought mine at Advance Auto, they came in a package of like 10 assorted fittings. Good luck.

They went in OK but you have to use short reach ones(only about 3 threads). I had some longer base ones(more threads), and they wouldn't even screw in. The original ones had two threads, and were brass.

I didn't grind any down. I found them at my Napa dealer with three threads. I just screwed them in until tight. There was still one thread showing. That is a good idea-washers. I'm going to pick some up and do that. Never thought of that --
