winter vs summer performance

I would like some feedback as to weather any of you folks can tell me of the various differences in the way your quads run in the different climates such as problems associated with hot running and cold running conditions, also I have only had both of my boy's REDCAT ATVs in the cold weather and have had a great deal of trouble with carb issues with both of them. One of the things that I am finding is a large amount of deposit in the small white cap at the bottom the fuel petcock which have gotten past the filter in line and reeked havoc on how they will run.thanks in advance

With our Kazuma Meerkat 50 we had to have the little clip on the vcarb needle moved for cold vs hot weather - so check that out. Haven't heard of a white deposit before, but if it's new it could be little metal filings that someimes accumulate right off the bat (or so I was told by an expert in small engine repair.)

I've seen the white stuff you are talking about. My son's mini was leaking fuel from the filter being cracked, and over a few days it built up about a dime sized white deposit. It's something about the fuel.

small white cap at the bottom the fuel petcock , sorry for the confusion but when you unscrew the cap rom the petcock is where i have found junk from what can only be the gas tank breaking down, both of the machines get it and are causing prolems !!!!!!!!
