I ordered 3 TAOTAO atv's yesterday from tomaliscooters.com. I was wondering if anyone knows anything about taotao aka aim-ex. Also if anyone has delt with tomali scooters before. I bought a 250, 125, and a mid size 110.

No one knows anything?
Well, so far the company seems to be ok. My order was shipped within 48 hours but no tracking number yet. I emailed them for it this morning, so time will tell. My only complaint so far is they didn't have the color I wanted for the 250cc. Legion global motorsports also sell these atvs and I went by their showroom before buying and they seem to be well made. Legion global is a bad company to buy from though. Since I bought 3 I got wholesale pricing, the 250cc was $915, 125cc was $670 and the 110cc was $450. The total with shipping to my door was $2340. Below are the links to the ones I bought.

Coyote02,
I was looking at the Taotao's myself at a local dealer. They impressed mr as well done units for the price. I have a hibird 200 coming in for myself but am considering the 125 for my wife if she decides she has to have one of her own. I'll be interested in hearing about your experience. Keep us posted.

I have been ordering the AIM-EX brand sinse they came into the U.S.A. Vicky is great to deal with(her father owns the factory in China)Jackie is also great to work with.I have had several of the air cooled and watercooled 250cc sport atv's,ANo complaints from any customers(at least not yet!)The 250cc sport ATV air cooled that I bought for myself has "taken a licken, and keep's on tickin" I gave it to my part time cycle Technician, who has raced motorcross for the last 13 year's,and I told him to.."Beat the S**T out of it,let's see what break's first." NOTHING HAS BROKEN YET!

Got the tracking number on friday but it don't work. If they were shipped when he said they were, the I should have them tomorrow. Since they didn't have the color I wanted he said he thru in the black body for free. I thought that was cool. Now I have an extra body.

Fattmatt,

How do you like the 250? Do you have the air or water cooled model?

Emailed the shipping company this morning and got the correct tracking number, they'll be here tomorrow. In my opinion that's pretty fast shipping (7 days total). Guess I better get out to the store and get some lock-tite.

I have 3 of the 250 air cooleded ones. Not to shabby, as with all chinese ATV's you might want to invest in locktight stock.

I think the worst problem I have had is striping the adjustment bolt for the chain tensioner. Dont ask me how, but the Honda TRX 90 is a great replacement piece.

I do have a valve tick in them all of them, one is worse than the other. I read somewhere that it may be the timing chain tensioner. I have no idea, but figured I have a 6 month warranty so I am semi safe. I did check the valves to make sure the adjustment nut didn't back its self off.

And boy do they take a beating! I crashed hard this past weekend, I landed on some soft dirt going around 25 mph and it fliped it right out from under me, the ATV did about 3 flips and landed on its back. After I walked off my pain, I inspected my bike, to my amazment nothing was horribly wrong or destroyed. I dont want to try that again, I am still feeling the pain.

Does anyone happen to know what the temp these air cooled should be running at? Or of any way to cool em down when doing some pretty tricky trail riding. They are fine if you are moving, but some of the stuff I do isnt allowing me to get up to a speed where it would cool a motor down.
