Came accross this 300 cc Mudd Master sport ATV. It looks pretty good in the pictures. I really like the price. Is this quad any good or it is the typical Chinese junk? I specifically want to know if it has soft suspension or not.

lOOKS GREAT BUT NOT TO SURE WHAT ENGINE IS IN IT LIKE ZONGSHEN OR JIANSHE. I have ridin the Tank-sports lightning which looks just like this atv. The tank model is a pretty good copy of the Honda TRX models and the
soft suspension is great. I would check to see if anyone has ridin this one before spending your money.Good luck

I am considering this for my 9 year old. The last chinese bike I bought, the Xtreme Typhoon 125, looked great in the photos and in person. But, it is a complete piece of junk. Not even worth the cheap price. I don't want to make the same mistake twice. Again, this one looks pretty good, but if parts are falling off while you ride, then it's not worth it. I'd rather spend an extra $K or so on a Yamaha or Honda.
Are the ZONGSHEN OR JIANSHE engines any good? Can you get parts and upgrades?
If anyone has any experience with this, please share. I notices that the ebay ad said no returns. How convienent.
Thanks!

Zongshen and Jianshe both have after market parts out their for their engines. The parts are out there for both i have had good success with both.I own my own repair shop and i have worked on alot of junk chinese atvs and a some that were good.I have found if you stay with a manufactor that use these engines they hold up well and you can find alot of parts for them. As for jianshe alot of Yamaha parts fit on them. The only thing i have foun with chinese atvs like is you need to change out the shocks with aftermarket ones for a better ride.

If you had a real Xtreme Typhoon, and thought it was junk, you are really going to think this is crap. Did you buy it from an authorized Xtreme dealer? There are a lot of Typhoon knock-offs out there. LG sells one of them they even call it a Typhoon. The Typhoons are one of the best atvs to come out of China.

It is a true 2007 Xtreme for sure. Has the nameplate. I wasn't impressed with the dealer. The owner said he helped design it. Here are the problems I had with the 125 Typhoon:
Heel Guards fell off first ride.
Clutch started slipping
Engine burnt a piston first ride...It had a kinked oil cooler line and got hot.
Countless bolts lost on first ride with parts hanging (typical chinese)
Front alignment was completly hosed. Good thing it has adjustable a-arms.
Tail light just fell off and was dragging.
The dealer gave me a run around so I have been fixing everything myself. I put in a 146 big bore kit.
On future rides:
The rear brakes went out. Master cyl wont pump up.
The rear brake caliper support broke in half...(Kid may have hit a rock)
The engine case is part of the frame in the rear by the swingarm, can't ride the quad till we put a gusset kit on or the engine case will crack. Just ordered a kit for this.
The front shock mounts are welded to the bottom of the a-arms. These have been breaking I hear.
I am sure there are other things I can't thing of right now, but I am sure you get the picture.
It's a cool looking quad with nice geometry, but its a piece of crap too.
We have an eton quad that is perfect and a QJ 100 that has been OK. I don't want another POS like the typhoon.
