Default Chinese ATV has no spark.

Hello, I bought another chinese ATV for my son, DOA again...grrr. The ATV has absolutely no spark. All of the connections appear tight and I have tried another CDI module and a different spark plug. Does anyone have any ideas as to what I should check next? How do I know if the Coil is good? Cheers ~

The ATV I just got is the 110cc Mini Hummer. My sons last ATV was a Kazuma 50cc and the kill switch was shorted on it (seems to happen alot). I think the battery is ok...reads 12.8v, and the tether switch seems to be ok (checking continuity on open/close contacts). I will try again tomorrow with a full charge on battery. Thanks.

Some of the kill switches on the handle bars, you have to put the switch in the middle and push it in. It will click.

I found the prob, it was a short in part of the ignition switch. I have a fat blue spark now and lots of gas in my carb float bowl but it still wont run. Im getting ready to drop kick this thing lol

Will it start at all, or just not stay running? Have you let the gas drain from the float bowl to see if the stream continues or dies off? IT could be vaopr lock in the fuel filter or lines keeping gas from flowing steady.

A friends ATV has that problem periodically. We found his gas line from the tank wasn't clamped tight and was allowing air in occassionally.

It wont start at all at the moment. I did let gas run right through float bowl, and there was alot of air bubbles coming out. I can hear the bike fire (kind of like vrrr vrrrr pop vrrr vrrr pop etc) when I turn it over and plug shows a bit of black on it. I will try to let more gas through the bottom of float for longer today. Thanks.

Yay the bike runs...thanks everyone for da help. I tried a couple of things as suggested in 2manytoys carb post. I think mixture was too lean. I still have to tweak further but atleast its running
