Default LT80 WONT START!!!? Please Help!!!

Finally get a decent day my boy can ride his quad and it wont start! This is the first time I ever had any trouble whatsoever. Turned the key on hit the starter button and nothing. I figured the battery was dead so i tryed jumping it from my scrambler and hit the button and still nothing. Not even a clicking noise. Is there fuses on this thing somewhere or is there a way i can jump start it at a selenoid like u can a tractor? I dont know what it can be, we had it out about 3 weeks ago in the snow and it started fine at least 10 times, we put it away and havent touched it till today. any suggestions on what i can try?

Check behind the right rear fender for the starter reset button. Also, try tapping the starter with a hammer, lightly. Also, invest in a 90.00 pull start! You may also want to check all the electrical connections, one may have come undone. Good luck!

thanks for the reply, that wasnt the problem but after looking for the switch which I cant find, I started just pulling at all the wires trying to find one loose or broke and I found one under the seat that was broke iun half, kinda looked chewed in half. So I fixed that and we got a ride in so all is good. Thanks for the advice, my only question is where is this switch, whats it look like? I did find one thing under the fender but it was like a big fuse or something, when u unplug it it has 2 gold prongs sticking out of it. Is this it?

Look at the bike from the rear and go in under the right side fender (above the rear wheel).

There should be a switch unit with a red button on there.

Make sure this is pressed in. (Sometimes they pop out and need resetting).

If you press the start button and nothing happens, that's the first thing to check. Then I would do:

1) Check battery termninals
2) Check fuse (5 amp)
3) Check relay
4) Check wiring to start button.

It's also a really good idea to short the footwell safety switch so you don't have to put the footbrake on to start the bike (Fab when it's really muddy and you can't even see the switch!).

Use a scotchlock on the wiring undernaeth the front fender (Need to unscrew 4 screws).
