Default finally fixed Eton

I had posted quite a while back that our 90cc Eton Viper wasnt getting any spark. Took it to one shop and they said stator. Did that, nothing. Took it to another shop, they said regulator. Did that, nothing. So it sat in our shop all year. Took it back out, got the cdi box, boom started right up! Get it down to river, riding great!! All this time and it was a little $88 part. Why didnt they ever know that in the shop??? Also when it was in the shop the second time, it sprung an oil leak, so we had them cut off all oil lines and we would premix it. They mixed it too rich, it was smoking quite a bit. Well after we got ti running with new cdi, it goes kaput again. Started just fine, but wouldnt go anywhere. You could lift up on back of bike and tires would spin, but once on ground wouldnt hardly move. After taking carb apart, everything was fine. AHA! We remembered the baffle in exhaust. Got it out and wow! All that oil that they had mixed too rich was polluting everything. Runs just great now!! But I dont wanna get too happy about it, might knock on some wood.....

It's a shame you didn't have a dealer that knew what he was doing and could have fixed the bike right in the first place...Hopefully your troubles are over but don't be riding in the river!
