Default lt50 sticky rear brakes

I took them apart and cleaned them up, scuffed up the drum and shoes to knock down the shine on them, and put it all back together and now they stick on when they use them. If you touch the little lever back by the adjuster the linkage will pop back and the quad will roll free again. I have taken the brakes apart again and lubed up the pivot points and put it back together but it is still sticking. Any ideas?

Dirty brake cable? My son's LT-A50 has slightly sticky front brakes, one worse than the other, and lubing the cables helped a lot.

I dont know exactly how that brake is set up but I've had that problem on my atv.My problem was the shaft that goes through to the inside of your brake was gummed up.This shaft is connected to the lever that the cable is hooked to where you adjust your brake.I just took that shaft out and cleaned it and the hole it goes through.

I Think I sprayed some WD40 down the cable but I'll try it again, easy stuff first. The shaft thing is more along the lines of what it seems like though. Thanks for the idea.
