BMS 110 chain adjustment
#1
The chain on my newly purchase 110 is too tight. I followed the instructions to adjust it and it didn't seem to change. Here is what I did.
First I loosened the bolts on the rear housing and the brake bracket. Then I screwed the threaded rod with a T handlke is a threaded rood with a T handle on it into one of the holes in the housing and rolled the quad forward letting the sprocket move the rod............I don't think anything changed. Could I have gone too far or not enough.
To be honest I'm not even sure how it would adjust.....unless it is not round.
The chain is really tight and I know that's not good.
The manuel says I should have 6-12 mm of deflection. Somewhere in the neighborhood of 3/8" which doesn't seem like enough.
Shouldn't it be a little more then that.

3/8 is about right. You dont want it too loose or the chain will pop off. Can you show a close up of the rear so we can see what style it is. Usually if you loosen the 4 bolts ont eh rear then there should be 1 or 2 threaded rod adjusters with nuts. If you loosen the nuts and push down on the top of the chain it will rotate the axle forward. Then you can retighten if needed.

It's kind of hard to explain. but the back of the swingarm is round and the axle housing as it goes thru it is round but the axle does not go thru the center. I took a better look at it and it is oblong. If you rotate one way the sprocket will move back and if you go the other way it will move forward.
It seems like I may be at the narrowest part and it may be as loose as it is going to get.
I will try to follow up with a picture..........I'm sure someone has the same setup.
