Default Yamoto Shaft drive!!!!

I seen a Yamoto 70 cc kids quad today that was Shaft drive!!!!
After helping the kid next door last year with his chain falling off.....This looks like a very neat set-up on these kids quads!!!....Does anybody have anything to say about shaft drive kids quads?
And are there any other kids quads out there that are shaft drive???
I am getting my daughter one this June for Grading Day and still don't know what I am going to spend my money on yet!!!!!!!!!!........CAPER......

Do the Jetmoto's have just Chain Drive??

Yamaha .... Champ 80 and 100, Badger 80, Raptor 50 and Raptor 80. you lose the ability to change the gearing (sprockets) but the drive train is very reliable and low maintenance (occasional 80W oil change).
I believe Yamoto is a Yamaha knockoff. in fact I've heard they had been suited by Yamaha, succesfully, for being "to good" of a knockoff.

Hey Caper. I checked out the Yamotos myself, and they seem to use Yamaha technology, and you can in fact check out the lawsuit on the web. It seems that Yamoto has agreed to stop importing their products, but check it out yourself. (Note, however, that the Yamaha Raptor 50 is gutless, so the Yamoto was probably just as bad, and in fact even the 90 seems underpowered.)

Patriot Motorcycles used to sell them (patriotmotorcycles.com). I just checked and their website is undergoing "maintanance" right now, so check them out perhaps later.

We got the '07 Eton Viper 90R because it has a reverse, an adjustable (!) CDI box, and is made in Taiiwan as opposed to mainland China. It seems to be a great bike, and we were up to the cottage with it this weekend and it performed very well again. (Note as well that it has a japanese battery rather than the crap they put in the Chinese bikes.)

We are at Kawagama Lake near Dorset, so if you want to check out the Viper, let me know!

I have a couple chinese quads with those "crap" chinese batteries and so far so good. This will be the third summer coming up with them. The boy's get the darn things going when its -15c outside with 10w-40 oil in them. I have to admit I find it hard to believe some days as they are little cheap batteries.

I have a ducar 110cc quad that has shaft drive. And I have to say it's nice not having to fool with a chain. However it came with a crappy little gear box bolted on the side of the trans that didnt' stand up!!! I got a new replacement one now last fall and my dealer said this one is "better". So far it seems to be good, you could see by the casting it was made in a different factory or something.

I drove one of them yamaha/yamoto clone 90cc quads and I thought it ran fine just it didn't have reverse like the ducar did.
