250 Komoto? to buy or not to buy?
i have a chance to buy a 2006 250 komoto for $1000. it has 8 hours on it. i havent seen it yet but the seller said its great condition and basicly brand new. one question i have is are parts easy to buy for this quad? is there costumer service?i know its a yamaha motor clone so would yamaha motor parts fit on the motor if something happens to it? im not using this for heavy use..im just looking to ride around flat ground and high speed. maybe some tiny bumps the most. if i do buy it wat are some things i can do to make sure it last long? and is 1000 dollars a rip off? i know its alot of questions but im new to quads. i really appreciate the help from ppl that know about this stuff.

Be warned, these air cooled motors over heat easy on these 250. I think that Komoto is the same motor as my Cool Sport. If you ride tracks or trails it would be okay, but any slow riding, high revving clutch work will heat it up too fast.
Good news is these 250 like the CS 250 are TOUGH. It can easily handle a 5ft jump with no problems.
