Default race lt 80 no spark

99 lt80.just finished puttin er back together and went to start on a COMPLETELY charged battery.100% charged and all it did was turned over for about 3 seconds slow and then the starter reset popped and all i hear is this clicking.my friend removed the starter reset and wired the two wires together so we could test the spark.(reset will be replaced when running).now the engine turns over like normal with the reset missing.but still no spark.my votech teacher seems to think it could be either

A.the stator

B.the coil

C.the plug.

well which is more likely cuz i dont wanna pay 250 for a coil and it endin up being the stator or plug.is there a way i can test the stator and coil and plug wire and cap?if so will someone please help me out and give me pretty detailed directions on it.thanks to all in advance

OK, forget all about the PM info. LMAO
OF course you check the plug first. It's the cheapest. The plug cap is always an issue with them.(another current thread).
Use an ohm meter and check the resistance on the stator and coil.

So it starts fine but has no spark. LOL
I'm guessing that it quits sparking, which could be the coil.

well today we found that the wires covered by a black boot that connects to the coil was missing.but now thats replaced we took the plug out and touched it to the jug and it turned over for about 5 seconds and saw a nice fat spark.but as soon as we got the plug back in to start it.nothing.just a clicking noise from a little black plug on the end of a cable?has a little flap on it to hold a spare fuse?the battery is again fully charged and we load tested it with a battery tester and its fine.so is this little black thing the problem now?where can i get one of these because my local suzuki wont order one for me.they have a policy about electrical components.they told me only they can install it to ensure it will work properly.im thinkin they just want a few extra bucks in labor.aholes.i hear that you do a lot of engine work on these little buggers.would you be able to sell me one of these black things that click or is there a way i can test it to ensure that it is the problem?
