My son has a Suzuki LT-A50 about which I cannot say enough good things. It's wonderful and he loves it. I've mentioned before that the only thing missing is reverse.

There's actually one more: Some sort of engine braking. Our Polaris Sportsmans have engine braking and while it's less efficient than just coasting along, it's really nice to have a bit of braking action when you release the throttle.

The LT-A50, on the other hand, just coasts once the centrifugal clutch releases. Releasing the throttle and activating the brake aren't always simultaneous actions at these ages, and it would be nice (and safer for a young person) if they automatically got a little braking action during the interval.

Do any kid's quads have something like engine braking? By definition, it means giving up the C-clutch....

The only ones that I'm aware of are the auto-clutch models, like the Honda TRX 90.
