Have you checked for good spark, spark plug and compression? you may have washed the rings down. as to the starting and stalling out, check out the idle screw and or mixer screw

Sounds like you're having the same problem I'm having with a 2-stroke Aeon Cobra 90. What I found on mine is I think the electric choke isn't working. Not having any documentation on this thing, I have no idea what the operating principles are behind it. Is there a temp sensor somewhere or is this activated automatically based on some other event or what? I do know that it runs great it I take the air filter hose off and choke it with my hand just right, letting just a minute amount of air in. That said, I've tried doing that for a longer period of time until the motor should have been warm enough to not need the choke and it still dies after a few seconds. This thing only has one screw on the side and it's the idle speed so there's no mixture adjustment (at least not with a screw).
You could try choking it with your hand like I did to possibly eliminate spark or fuel supply related issues.

OK, well just wanted to update since I got mine running last night. The electric choke plunger is working. When testing before, what threw me off was the fact that it does not get voltage from the battery but from the charging circuit. In other words, while cranking or running. With this in mind, I had to dig a little deeper since I knew it wasn't getting enough fuel one way or another. Turns out this thing DOES have a mixture adjustment. Not sure how I missed it the first time. I took the carb apart again, removing the screw and spring and all so I could clean it out real good. Now with it all back together and tweaking on the mixture adjustment, this thing is running great!
