Default no spark on Kazuma 110

I have a Kazuma 110 manual trans that I purchased used. I bought it as is, knowing it would not start. The mechanic that had been looking at it said it needed an ignitor, but got tired of trying to find parts for it.

Luckily, I ALSO have a 2006 Kazuma 150, with almost identical parts on some of the systems.

I took the ignition coil, AND the ignitor from the 110 (the no start vehicle) and placed them in the 150 (the STARTING vehicle). Both parts still allowed the 150 to start. So I can assume the coil and ignitor are NOT suspect.

I dont have a wiring schematic for either vehicle, so I just grabbed a voltmeter and my experience as an auto mechanic.

I used a voltmeter and compared readings taken at the ignitor on both vehicles.
The (2) wires that were different between the (2) vehicles were the Red/black trace and Black/gray trace. On the RUNNING vehicle, I would get 25 to 28 volts on these 2 wires, with key on, engine cranking. (Plug wire pulled on both vehicles.)
On the NON RUNNING vehicle, I owuld get 5 - 7 volts on these 2 wires, with key on engine cranking.

I checked other voltages, with key on, no cranking, key off, etc. But the above readings are the only places where there were differences between the 2 vehicles.

Without the wiring schematic, I wasnt sure where to go from here, as I had no way to tell where these 2 suspect wires were coming from or going to. So I did the best I could with tracing the harness to see where they went. It appeared they went to the stator, down by the gearbox/starter chain. I pulled the cover, and found a stray fiber from the windings. I will try to post a pic.

so, with the information I have given, does anyone have an educated guess as to what might be causing the no spark condition? Can I assume its the stator/pickup coil, thats not "triggering" the ignition coil? I was an auto mechanic, but didnt do anything with engines like this, so if my terminoligy is off, please forgive me.

Are there any "known" problems with these models that I should be looking at for a no spark condition?

I dint know what year it is, only that its a 110 3 speed semi automatic w reverse. I DO have the vin # if that will help get a year. (What IS the digit for the year by the way? Is it the same (8th and 10th) as a car?)

Thanks for any help, and sorry for such a long post. I figured it would be better to give all the details than to just say "no spark, please fix it for me"

The piece laying on my finger does not appear to be an actual copper winding, but a fiber piece that is designed to hold the copper wondings in place.

I dont have a scope, so not sure I have any way to correctly check the pickup coil.
