Default Need help installing new axle

How do I replace the rear axle on these Chinese kids quads? I got my big **** on my sons Coolster and broke it. I have the replacement, but I can't figure out how to get the old one out. I removed the carrier assembly and stripped off the brake caliper and all of the other hardware, but I can't figure out how to remove the axle from the carrier.

Hey ,

I read an article the other day about this I have not tried it. But it said to knock it through with a rubber hammer or plastic mallet once you have the retaining nuts spocket brakes etc. off. It has a couple snaprings that hold it in place according to what I read. I wish I could remember where I read it. Good luck and let the rest of us know just how its done when you finish...

OK, I feel stupid. I should have opened the package that the new axle came in before posting. The new axle came with a new carrier already in place. It was just a matter of taking off the old one, swapping over the hardware and reinstalling the new one! Got it installed and test rode it. All is well again.

I am impressed with the customer service I got from Coolster. I called them and ordered the replacement axle over the phone and had the part at my house in 5 days! Pretty impressive! Plus, the part was pretty darn cheap. Cost me $35 plus $9 shipping/handling.
