m in the market to buy a Chinese ATV. I would prefer a Roketa cause theres a dealer in town that sells them and has spare parts in stock. Im just a little confused on which one to buy. I don't want a utility one so i would like a sporty type and a 250cc. Roketa has a ATV-09 250cc water cooled which dealer is selling for $1595. I like that one cause its a beginner bike cause i haven't rode in a couple of years. This bike seems to be what i need and will see if dealer can lower price a little if i pay cash. But Roketa also has a ATV-60 Which is its newest and an upgrade to the ATV-09 it has a larger frame bigger tire, alum wheels, upgrade muffler, little more horsepower and better climbing ability and the dealer wants $2495 which i still think its too much but o well well see about that when im ready. I have been looking for reviews on these bikes or someone that owns any of these bikes to see what the exp. has been with these 2 but have not found much on them. If anyone has any recommendations i would greatly appreciate it. I know some people are going to say not to buy a jap bike but seriously i don't have the money to buy name brand. So if some one can help help me out here that would be good. if you would like to see specs you can go to www.roketa.com look for ATV-09 and ATV-60. I know they don't show stocking this model but Ill bet they can get it for a lot less then you were quoted, I purchased my wifes atv thru them and they had the best price I could find.

 

i wouldn't pay $2500 for a chinese POS, for that kinda of money you can find a very nice used polaris, cam an , honda, suzuki, and so force.

 

i checked to see how much all new motorsports are selling the 09 and 60 and they want $2300-ATV60 and $1600-09 i sthink its overpriced and would rather spend a little more for a name brand bike if there that much to be honest. Have you had any real problems with your Roketa ATV so far or what have you encountered with them. Thanks

we have a atv-09, no complaints just use lots of loctite. the bike seems to go anywhere i take it. i go riding with a buddy who has a honda trx400 and seem to keep up. In alaska we have some tough trails and it does good. the factory tire are lacking am looking to upgrade to a better tread pattern. the rear shock is a little stiff. but all in all a good bike. welds look decent. we paid a little less then you were qouted, but your getting it from a dealer so if their any good your buying dealer support. which would be worth it. I haven't had any issues with mine, but if they come up I'm on my own. not worried though this motor apears to be the same a jetmotos 250 watercooled and looks similar to some susukis I've seen around. oh yeah reverse is nice!

My wife has had no problems with her roketa 150 and she has had it for a couple of months.She hasn't done a lot of riding but so far so good.Also you may check this bike out

I'd rather have a 5 yr old jap bike than a new ***** bike any day. If you buy one and spend $1000 on decent tires and wheels, then $2000 on good shocks that dont blow out and $10 on locktite, then have it broke down when you are wanting to play......you see where I'm going... These are all opinions we have but you are the judge and it's your money. I'd go used 250 ex,400 japanese bike, polaris 250,300,400 or some other bike and you'll still have a good bike.

oneOone have you taken your ATV up some hills how does it do goig up hill. Well thats good to here that you havent had any problems. So have you heard any info about the ATV-60? Well i dont know if you have any video but if you do can you send it so i can see the ATV in action. I mean i can ride the ATV at the dealer but i wish they would allow you to take it out on dunes and hills so you can see if the ATV is what your looking for. I would really appreciate it thanks a lot.

it does well up hills, unfortunatlly no video. don't know anything on the 6o, except it looks like a better machine than the 09, the skid plate would rock it also has the newer rear swing arm, and adjustable rear shock.

So as far as things you did to you Roketa what did you do to when you first got it? Did you build it yourself? Did you locktite any screws, change oil, change spark plugs, change air filter. What would you recommend i change or do before i begin taking it for a spin?
