New Vbike Owner!!!
Just ordered my vbike 250-4vs today! It was a hard decision picking between all the different models/distributors etc. But the vbike looks to be the best bang for my buck. I couldnt decide between the vs and the ver.5. but just decided for the 4vs. Tim from vbike was very helpful and very straightforward. I placed the order this morning(tues) and should be receiving it friday, talk about fast shipping!
couple of concerns though:
Being air cooled is it more vulnerable to overheating? My buddies that ride Hondas/yamahas told me that Im going to overheat it if I ride it for more then 15mins hard. Is there any truth to this? I figure theyre just over exaggerating because I spent 1200 and they spent 5k+ lol
Also vbikes claim 60mph, how fast have you gotten your vbike up to?
ive rode a honda 250ex, hows this going to compare?
but besides those concerns im very excited for friday!

Congrats on your vbike.Wich color did you get?I have the black and red one.I have never clocked my bike but I can tell you you won't be disapointed. I had a hibird 250 and the vbike has far mor power. If you want to do wheelies this bike has plenty of power for that.As far as overheating I have not had a problem.

The only way you're gonna have overheating issues is if the carb isn't tuned properly or if the motor gets caked with mud and can't get any air flow. Even the Yammy and Honda can have these issues. I'd definitely think twice before I'd let your friends work on it!
The Chinese quads are definitely not up to the same quality standards as the Japanese, but if parts are readily available and you are pretty good with a wrench, you will fare better than someone who knows nothing about how to work on these machines. People with no wrenching skills are better off going with a quality Japanese brand.
Be sure to go through the machine and tighten all of the nuts and bolts. Use loc-tite if you can get it. The Chinese machines are known for losing fasteners due to poor initial set-up.

It will only over heat if ther jetting is incorrect, if the jetting is ok and proper spark plug heat range is used the engine can not overheat.
I recommend a good synthetic oil after the first couple tanks of fuel. This will help it run cooler, give you a bit more HP and longer engine life.
like said already make sure you go over EVERY fastener and buy a small bottle of blue loc-tite and put it on all the major fasteners that don't have nylock nuts.

Sorry I havent been back on to post a review of the VBIKE. Im sure everyone knows how the holiday season is, and not to mention every spare moment I get, Im out riding around on my Vbike. When I received the crate from the shipping company, there was a very large tear in the left side of the box. I took a peak in and everything seemed fine. The driver was rushing me, so I went ahead and signed for it. Once in my shop, upon closer inspection of the opened package I realized the right side plastics had been smashed. I quickly called Tim, he said no problem Ill set a claim w/ the shipping company and have a new set out to you ASAP! No questions asked. I put the bike together in a little less then an hr, I was very impressed w/ the quality/and design of the vbike. Its not one of those tiny atvs you see at Pep boys. I took her out for a spin which instantly put a smile on my face. Shes got pep. The only thing is, the right side tie-rod mount on the hub got bent when the shipped it(must of dropped it, would explain the broken plastics) so when I go to turn right, the wheel over-extends and I eat tire. I temporarily fixed it by welding a nut where the bent original hole should be. Problem solved. But I called Tim to notify him of the additional shipping damage. Once again, he told me no problem I will send you another hub out.
Summary
Vbike is a very solid bike
Make sure you check your crate when delivered
Tim from vbike is a very stand up guy, didnt even get upset or anything even though there were things broken, he just made sure he took care of me, the customer
the 250cc has more power then youd expect
I wouldnt hesitate buying from Vbike again. I will definately be purchasing more atvs from them!
Customer service/product quality A+++++++

Thanks for your update Htamotorsports.Tim is a very good dealer in my opinion. He will not hesitate to take care of your problem.
I was suprised also the power that 250 throws out.I had a hibird 250 and the difference in power between the two is like night and day.I havn't tried it yet but I wonder if it could lift the wheels in second gear?
I was also suprised at the quality.Hard to belive you get a machine like that for the money.
What color did you get?Oh and when you can please post some pictures of your new ride.

Is this the same Tim that operates out of Edmond Ok? Used to be called Digikool. If it is I had bad experince with him. We bought two of the 2007 250 VTEC V4 from him a blue one and a red one. Had them for aprox 1 week and the top rear shock mount that is welded to the frame broke on the blue one! It also caused the top of the rear shock to shove up into the battery box damageing it and stripped the top end of the back shock! I called Tim immediately and all he told me was that the engine and transmission was covered under the 90 day warranty! He was willing to send me a front shock which wouldn't help me at all. Needless to say I was a little upset!
I posted a negative feedback on his web site at least 5 times but they keep removing it. His web site is now shut down the last time I tried it. I'll have to check to see if it is back up.
After comeing to the conclusion he wasn't going to help I straighten the bracket out and rewelded it myself. I've welded for over 20 years. I noticed there was another mounting bracket for the top of the rear shock so we relocated and mounted the repaired rear shock to it.
I then started looking at all the welds on the frame and was shocked at the poor workmanship. There was poor penetration on several of the welds on it. Hope you have a welder just in case.
Like the other poster says go over every bolt and nut on that 4 wheeler and retighten all. Use tread locker on all nuts and bolts. I bought Lock nuts and replaced several so they would stay tight.
Hope you have better luck then I did if you run into any problems. If any one is interested I think I still have the pics that I took and sent to Tim to show the poor workmanship. If they would like to see them let me know.
