Going on a Jet Moto... I bought one to see what they were about, thinking about selling them at my shop. I am impressed so far, especially for the money... I don't like the Jet Moto front bumper... kinda hideous...

You should have seen the early prototype. It makes the current one look like a work of art.

I took my battery to the auto zone and matched it up with one of theirs on the shelf, same size everything fits. I also changed out the spark plugs and oil, felt better putting in quality parts. I love my 200 Hi bird, no major issues except some fuel overflow issues....

hey NC Trailcarver. when you said you had fuel overflow problems can you explain. I have a hi bird 250 that I had a problem with venting, and my wife has the 150 that always reaks of gas but I cannot find any leaks.

Any words of advice?

These carbs come with gel pack in the float bowls. Supposedly, they are self cleaning as the gas comes through, however, sometimes the floats get stuck. Get it to idle, then while running, pick up the rear end and drop it a few times. If that does not work, take a wooden dowel and a hammer and lightly tap around the float bowl. I had to do that on my JetMoto.

As for the gas smell, there is an overflow tube that comes out of the carb. Check it to see if there is any leaking from there. Also, pull your airfilter and check it. Mine had gas puddling in it when the float was stuck.
